A collaboration party with Rémy Martin was held on 17 October at the Atlantic Cars showroom in Toyko, Japan. Twenty VIP guests enjoyed the opportunity to sample the super exclusive Cognac “Louis XIII”, alongside the chance to admire a pair of equally exclusive luxury sports cars— the Vanquish and the Rapide S.
Making its Canadian debut, a private preview of the Vanquish Volante was held at the Toronto dealership in September, while the Vancouver showroom hosted an exclusive party for 80 VIP guests. This marked the first of a string of Americas dealer previews.
High-end luxury lifestyle was the theme of the evening at the Aston Martin Singapore showroom on 22 August, where The Peak magazine hosted an exclusive dinner with 30 clients from HSBC and VISA Infinite. Aston Martin’s brand partner for the evening, Jaeger-LeCoultre, contributed to the prestigious event, which showcased a range of current Aston Martin models, including the V8 Vantage S, Rapide S, DB9 and a Volcano Red Vanquish.

A HOST OF Centenary celebrations took place across Asia Pacific, beginning in July with the Centenary Marina Day at the Mito Mikawa Marina in Japan. Aston Martin owners from Nagoya Hakko joined members of the marina for the test drive and cruising event in the Aichi Prefecture, which included a showcase for the Rapide S, Vanquish, DB9 and V8 Vantage. In collaboration with Big Boat Magazine, guests enjoyed a lunch, talk show and plenty of cruising.
The following month, 150 Aston Martin owners took part in the AMOC Centenary Drive and Display at the Eastern Creek Raceway in Sydney and enjoyed a display and drive-by of at least 70 cars, including the Rapide S, Vanquish, DB9 and V8 Vantage
The celebrations continued when China’s first Aston Martin rally set out from the marque’s impressive showroom in Pudong, Shanghai, to enable Chinese owners and fans to experience “Power, Beauty and Soul” during the centenary year. Ms Jenny Zheng, Regional Director of Aston Martin China, said at the opening ceremony: “Aston Martin remains one of the most exclusive and sought-after brands in the world. I feel very honoured to bring this centenary celebration to China and share the excitement and pleasure with our customers and car enthusiasts.” The journey saw the Aston Martin Centenary China Rally travel through nine cities over the course of nine days, from Shanghai to Hangzhou and then Zhoushan, Hengdian, Wuyishan, Tulou, Xiamen and Shenzhen, finally crossing the finish line in Hong Kong. The closing ceremony was held with the amazing view of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour as the backdrop.
Aston Martin owners in Taiwan also celebrated the marque’s 100th anniversary with a three-day tour of the country’s western and southern areas, starting in Taipei and ending in Kenting. Meanwhile, centenary events were held in both Sydney and Melbourne, doubling as launches for the Rapide S. The 150 attendees at each event enjoyed displays from Bang & Olufsen and Calleija jewellery. There was also a Centenary Gala Dinner at the Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei for 170 owners and guests, which featured the full range of centenary edition models on display.
What better way to explore the Californian countryside than from behind the wheel of an Aston Martin, arriving at the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance? From soaring redwoods and the San Francisco skyline to the expansive vineyards of the Napa Valley, the landscape was just one of the highlights of a special centenary tour, which also featured culinary classes, wine tastings and spa services.
The Italia Classica (right) took place from 25-29 September and Aston Martin was honoured to be the featured marque. Among the many rare and historic cars were an Ecurie Ecosse, DB3S and former land speed record holder Donald Campbell’s DB2/4. A selection of current models joined the tour and were tested by entrants throughout the rally.
A track day organised by Aston Martin Stockholm in September (left) was a roaring success. Twenty cars attended and guests enjoyed laps with the GT4 and Peter “Poker” Wallenberg’s PWR Racing team.
